HUBBARD Barbetta D. Wolfe, 81, died Saturday morning, March 21, 2009, at Briarfield Manor. She was born July 13, 1927, in Ringold, PA, a daughter of Arthur and Gussie Donovan Shaffer and moved to Hubbard in 1957 coming from Campbell.

Mrs. Wolfe was a homemaker and formerly worked as a custodian at Roosevelt School in Hubbard. She was a member of Covenant Life Fellowship, Hubbard, its Women's Ministry and a former choir member. She and her late husband operated the family farm together for many years and was an avid gardener.

Her husband, Murray B. Wolfe, whom she married November 27, 1947, died September 15, 1990. She leaves a son, Daryl M. (Diane) Wolfe of Mineral Ridge; four daughters, Judi D. Edwards of Sharon, PA, Janice C. (George) Conrad of Youngstown, Irene L. (Bob) Kostecky of Toledo and Denese J. (David) Jordan of Austintown; a brother, William Shaffer of Worthville, PA; three sisters, Ramona Buzzard of Rouletta, PA, Lois Dinger of Stafford, VA and Karen Pierce of DuBois, PA; 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Gary L. Wolfe and a brother, Howard D. Shaffer.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday 11:00 am at Covenant Life Fellowship, Hubbard.

Family and friends may call at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home on Monday from 5 to 8 pm and on Tuesday from 10 to 11 am at church prior to the service.
