Barbara Naples's Obituary


HUBBARD Barbara Mary Naples, 88, died Wednesday November 27, 2013 at Shepherd of the Valley in Howland. She was born February 18, 1925 in Youngstown, a daughter of Slavo and Anna Karas Mikus and was a lifelong area resident.

Mrs. Naples, a 1943 graduate of Chaney High School, was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church and was an office manager for Ray Slavin Ford for 29 years.

Her husband, Joseph Naples whom she married March 9, 1943, died April 14, 2003.

She leaves two daughters, Barbara J. "Dee Dee" Shreve of Hubbard and Juanita M. (James) Necastro of Howland; a brother, Retired Colonel Nicholas M. Mikus of Missouri; a sister, Rose Rook of Boardman; five grandsons, Scott and Joseph Shreve of Columbus, Michael and Christopher Naples and Robert Greco all of Hubbard; two great granddaughters, Mollie and Reylie Greco.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Michael J. Naples and daughter-in-law Joann; a brother, Steven G. Mikus and a sister, Ann Marie Wittenauer.

Family and friends may call on Sunday 2:00 to 5:00 PM at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Monday 9:15 AM at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home and 10:00 AM at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church.

The family requests memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 3695 B Boardman Canfield Rd., Suite 301, Canfield, OH 44406.

Interment will be at Hubbard Union Cemetery.
