Audrey Bigony's Obituary


HUBBARD Audrey Mathews Bigony, 76, died Wednesday afternoon, May 17, 2006, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center. She was born January 1, 1930, in Youngstown, a daughter of Evan and Edna Porter Mathews and was a lifelong Hubbard resident.

Mrs. Bigony was a secretary for Valley Mold & Iron Corporation in Hubbard for 30 years, retiring in 1985. She then worked for the Youngstown Board of Education from 1985-1991. Audrey was of the Methodist faith and a 1948 graduate of Hubbard High School. She was a member of the VFW Post No. 3767 Ladies Auxiliary in Hubbard, the Eagles in Youngstown, a volunteer at Northside Medical Center and an ombudsman for nursing homes for the Area Agency on Aging.

Her husband, Kenneth J. Bigony, whom she married on August 19, 1961, died on February 20, 1988.

She leaves a son, Kenneth E. Bigony of Hubbard; a brother, Ralph L. (Janet) Mathews of Hubbard and a granddaughter, Brandie Bigony.

Besides her husband, her parents preceded her in death.

There will be no funeral services or calling hours.

The Kelley-Robb Funeral Home in Hubbard handled the arrangements.
