POLAND Arthur E. "Tucker" Venditti, 86, of Roberto Place, Poland, OH died Thursday afternoon, July 25, 2002 at Northside Hospital Medical Center. He was born November 11, 1915 in Hubbard, a son of the late Nickolas and Cheubina Patrick Venditti.

Mr. Venditti lived in New Bedford, PA for 62 years. During this time he owned and operated Century Auto Service in Youngstown from 1945 to 1968. After retiring he became a Pennsylvania Constable and was a security guard for Country Manor Bingo. He served with the United States Navy during World War II.

Arthur was a former Pulaski Twp. Volunteer Fireman, former Lion's Club and Sportsman Club member, past President of the Independent Garage Owners of Ohio, was an avid hunter and loved the great sport of baseball. Arthur and his wife, Stella moved to Poland 6 years ago, after moving to Ohio he drove cars for Plaza Auto.

He is survived by his wife, the former Stella L. Sikora, whom he married November 6, 1937; a daughter, Donna (Ed) Swaneck of Poland; a son, Robert (Maryann) Venditti of New Middletown, OH; two brothers, Guido of Boardman and Jerome of Hubbard; four sisters, Clara Mansel of West Middlesex, Betty Calvert and Nancy Sabella both of Hubbard, and Fay Koop of Sewickley, PA; grandchildren, Ed Swaneck, Jr., Debbie Swaneck Gierlach, Lori Venditti Deskin, Walter Gierlach and Tim Deskin; great grandchildren, Krista Gierlach and Megan Deskin. Four sisters, Anna Gori, Lillian Pritchard, Lucille Stafford and Jeannette Stafford and one brother, Walter Venditti are deceased.

Funeral services will be held Monday, 9:00 AM at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home, Hubbard and 10:00 AM at St. James the Apostle Church, New Bedford, PA.

Friends may call at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home on Sunday, 4 to 8 PM.
