HUBBARD Anthony Perry, 93, died Wednesday May 21, 2014 at Liberty Healthcare. He was born October 1, 1920 in Youngstown, a son of Patsy and Martha Purfey Perry and was a lifelong area resident.

Mr. Perry, a 1941 graduate of East High School, was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church and a laborer at Republic Steel for over 30 years. He was a school crossing guard for 28 years and never missed a Hubbard High School or Youngstown State Football game until he moved to the nursing home. Anthony was very active in the Senior Olympics, taking 3rd place in race walking.

His wife, the former Marie C. Lefoer, whom he married February 22, 1959, died March 8, 2007.

Anthony leaves four sons, Patrick Perry of Laguna Beach, CA, Ronald (Diane) Perry of Hubbard, David (Kimberly) Perry and Michael (Gina) Perry both of Hilliard, OH; a brother, Johnny Perry of Boardman and eight grandchildren, Sarah, Sean, Brian, Mitchell, Emily, Alyssa, Joshua and Aubrey.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Family and friends may call on Friday 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Saturday 10:00 AM at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home with Fr. James Johnson officiating.

Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery.
