HUBBARD Anthony M. Edelston, 87, of Hubbard, died Tuesday morning, September 12, 2006 at St. Elizabeth Health Center. He was born on February 4, 1919, in Pittsburgh, PA, a son of Henry and Florence O'Keefe Edelston and moved to Hubbard in 1953, coming from Pittsburgh.

Mr. Edelston worked for H.R. Hill Company in Warren, retiring in 1985. Prior to this, he worked for Barris in West Middlesex, PA and International Harvester Trucks in Pittsburgh and Youngstown. He was a member of St. Patrick Church in Hubbard where he was a festival volunteer. He was an avid Pirates and Steelers fan and played organized baseball until he was 38 years old. Anthony was a devoted husband and father.

His wife, the former Mary Williams, whom he married on December 9, 1942, died on July 12, 1999.

He leaves two sons, James "Skip" (Carmella) Edelston and Michael Edelston, both of Hubbard; four daughters, Carol (Fred) Arnaut of Hubbard, Sandy (Lohman) Squibbs of Edgewater, FL, Nancy (Bob) Stoia of Merideth, NH and Toni (John) Stefan of Liberty; a brother, James O'Keefe of Pittsburgh, PA; a sister, Mary "Dolly" Edelston of Pittsburgh, PA; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Besides his wife, his parents and brothers, Jack and Henry Edelston, preceded him death.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, 12:15 p.m. at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home and at 1:00 p.m. at St. Patrick Church in Hubbard.

Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
