HUBBARD Anna L. Begeot Slifko, 87, formerly of Hubbard, died Sunday evening, February 24, 2002, at O'Brien Memorial Nursing Home. She was born April 28, 1914, in Trinway, OH, a daughter of Charles E. and Etta O. Davis Longley and lived in Hubbard since 1934.
Mrs. Slifko, along with her first husband, Albert Begeot, owned and operated Begeot Refuse Service for many years.
She was a member of the Central Christian Church, Hubbard, where she was a former Deaconess and past treasurer of the Worship Committee. She was also a member of the Gleaner's Sunday School Class and served Rotary Club lunches for many years. Mrs. Slifko was a 1932 graduate of Brookfield High School and enjoyed bowling.
Her first husband, Albert Begeot, whom she married September 10, 1934, died March 25, 1970. Her second husband, Joseph Slifko, whom she married November 5, 1975, died January 15, 1987. She leaves two sons, Albert J. (Barbara) Begeot and Thom J. (Pamela) Begeot, both of Hubbard; a daughter, Lois M. (James) Lundy of Boardman; one brother, Charles Longley of Hartford, OH; two sisters, Doris Sabo of Maine and Edna Rado of Brookfield; 15 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. A daughter, Linda L. Phillips, four brothers, Dudley, Frank, Fred, James Longley, three sisters, Alma Begeot, Orlinda Derr and Betty Lou Mosora are deceased.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home, Hubbard.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, 5 to 8 PM.
