HUBBARD Ann L. Burtnett, 85, died Tuesday morning November 25, 2014 at her home. She was born October 10, 1929 in Youngstown, a daughter of Charles F. and Agnes V. McGuire Darrow and moved to Hubbard in 1955 from Youngstown.
Mrs. Burtnett was a 1948 graduate of South High School and was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church. She was a member of the Disciples of Mary, was a lay minister and distributor and was a former member of the church festival committee. Ann was also a member of the Ursuline's HIV / AIDS Prayer Support Group.
Ann was a dispatcher for the Hubbard Police Department for 15 years, retiring in 1991 and had previously worked for Ohio Bell and Anserphone, Inc.
Her husband, James R. Burtnett, whom she married September 2, 1950, died January 25, 1976.
She leaves four daughters, Virginia (Jacob) Squibbs of Fort Worth, TX, Karen (Bill) Watson of Hubbard, Sharon Linnen of Hubbard and Maureen (Kenneth) Grigsby of Hubbard; 12 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren and one on the way. She also leaves many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary M. (Robert) Jones and Jean M. (David) McGlynn and three great granddaughters.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 6:00 PM at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church.
Family and friends may call on Monday two hours prior to the services from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church.

Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery.
