HUBBARD Angelo J. Rosile, 80, passed away after a long illness, on May 4, 2007, at his residence with his family at his bedside.
Angelo was born March 26, 1927, a son of Paul and Mary (Lancione) Rosile.
He attended Hubbard High School. He served in the United States Navy during WW II as a SEABEE, Seaman First Class, in the Philippines, New Guinea, Morotai and the Admiralties Islands. After his discharge, he enrolled in the Terrace School of Craftsman for Upholsterers under the G. I. Bill and graduated in 1951.
Angelo was employed at the Franklin Furniture Company in Columbiana, OH, as a finishing upholsterer. He went on to establish his own self-employed reupholstering furniture business in 1958 and worked until illness forced him to close shop. He was often referred to as the "Michelangelo in the Art of Upholstery". In addition to attending his own shop, he instructed upholstery to the handicapped at the Goodwill Industries on a part time basis for several years.
His interests were fishing and golfing – he was a member of the Hubbard Bocci League. He rallied around his children and grandchildren's sports events and supported their school activities.
He was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Hubbard and a past member of the Cursillo Movement.
Angelo was married to Beverly Rose DiVincenzo on November 7, 1953.
He leaves one son, Paul (Mary) Rosile of Westerville, OH; two daughters; Renee (George) Garchar of Youngstown, OH and Denise Rosile (Louie) Bernard of Leesville, VA; one brother, Nicholas (Marylou) Rosile of Cortland, OH; three sisters, Frances Carsone and Margaret LaCivita, both of Hubbard and Phyllis Bellino of Austintown, OH; six grandchildren, twins Paul and Michael Rosile, Benjamin and Sarah Garchar and Aaron and Elliot Bernard.
Angelo was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Mary (Lancione) Rosile, and infant granddaughter, Marisa Rose Rosile and a brother, Philip Rosile.
Calling hours and prayer service for family and friends will be held at St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, Hubbard, OH, from 4:00 to 6:00 pm on the evening of May 9, 2007. A mass for the "Celebration of Angelo's Life" will be officiated by Father Timothy O'Neill at the church at 6:00 pm.
