HUBBARD Andrew Dana Walp, Jr., 77, of Hubbard, died Saturday, December 13, 2003, at his residence. He was born March 6, 1926, in Wampum, PA, a son of Andrew and Lillian Prince Walp, Sr., and was a life-long area resident.

Mr. Walp worked for F.A. Pilgrim Extrusions for 20 years, retiring in 1983. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Girard, an Army veteran and a member of VFW Post 3767 in Hubbard. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

His wife, the former Doris Belle Asdell, whom he married April 2, 1950, died April 23, 1986. He leaves one son, Eugene W. (Marsha) Walp of Hubbard; one daughter, Cynthia D. Mahood, of Baytown, TX; one sister, Virginia James of Hubbard; one granddaughter, Carrie L. Leach of Clinton, MS; two great-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Michael Leach, both of Clinton, MS and his close companion of ten years, Dolly Blattman of Hubbard.

His parents preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 11:00 a.m. at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home, Hubbard.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.
