YOUNGSTOWN Funeral services will be held Wednesday 1:30 PM at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home for Alice "Cis" Suhy, 78, who died Friday evening November 25, 2011 at Northside Hospital Medical Center. She was born July 31, 1933 in Freedom, PA a daughter of Ralph and Gladys Garen Whipple and moved to the Hubbard area from 1951 to 1967 coming from Pennsylvania. She had lived in Solon for 30 years moving back to Youngstown 14 years ago.
Mrs. Suhy, a homemaker, was a member of St. Patrick Church and was a devoted wife and mother. She loved flower gardening, playing cards and board games, especially yahtzee and hand and foot. Cis really enjoyed going to casinos and loved playing slot machines.
She lived for her family and extended family with family activities and doings, they meant the world to her and her world was not complete without them.
She leaves her husband, John J. Suhy of 57 years, whom she married October 16, 1954; three sons, John J. (LuAnn) Suhy of Euclid, Todd E. (Deb) Suhy of Atwater and Mark E. (Sharon) Suhy of Brooklyn; a sister, Jan (Joe) LaCivita of Gallion; a step sister, Gwen Fisher of New Castle; four grandchildren, Jonathan, Nathen and Teresa Suhy and Rick Woodring; three great grandchildren, Kaylee, Kirsten and Kaitlynn; several nieces and nephews and her dog Cody.
She was preceded in death by her parents and stepfather, George Cataline.
Family and friends may call on Wednesday 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the Donor's choice.
Burial will be at Hubbard Union Cemetery.
