HUBBARD Albert R. Wasko, 79 of Hubbard died Friday evening, October 17, 2003, at Northside Medical Center. He was born July 26, 1924, in Farrell, PA, a son of Frank and Anna Sepela Wasko and lived in Hubbard for 40 years.

Mr. Wasko worked for the General American Transportation Corp. for 25 years retiring in 1983. He was a member of St. Patrick Church, Hubbard, the Knights of Columbus, Msgr. Francis J. Hughes Council No. 2072 and he was a Fourth Degree Knight. He was also a member of Northside Club of Hubbard and the VFW in Farrell where he held many different offices. Mr. Wasko served with the Army in World War II and retired from the Army Reserves after 40 years of service in 1984.

His wife, the former Patricia Presley, whom he married April 16, 1949, died December 9, 1996. He leaves a son, Mark R. Wasko of Pittsburgh, PA; two daughters, Terry A. Baker of Sharon, PA and Charlene F. (Gerry) Bates of Tucson, AZ; three brothers, Cyril Wasko of Brookfield, Joseph Wasko of Jamestown, PA and Robert Wasko of Tucson, AZ; three sisters, Rita Ferguson of Farrell, PA, Gertrude Kollar of Lexington, KY and Cecelia Skrukrud of DelMar, CA; three grandchildren.

His parents, and two brothers, Leonard and Edmund Wasko are deceased.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 9:15 AM at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home and at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick Church.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, 4 to 7 PM.
