HUBBARD Albert S. Ondich, 83, died Sunday evening at Briarfield at the Ridge. He was born February 9, 1926 in Lorain a son of Steve and Elizabeth Petrunak Ondich and has lived in the area for 61 years.
Mr. Ondich worked in the maintenance department at Wonder Bread for 30 years before retiring in 1980. He was a member of St. Patrick Church, Hubbard and served with the United States Marines during World War II serving in the Asiatic Pacific Theatre and attaining the rank of Corporal. Albert enjoyed woodworking, painting and spending time with his family.
He leaves his wife, the former Martha E. Nemeth, whom he married August 14, 1948; a son, Al D. Ondich at home; two daughters, Martha Rodick of North Canton and Betsy (Atty. Raymond T.) Biros-Bules of Massillon; four grandchildren, Tristan Rodick, Teddy, Carey and Barron Biros; a step grandson, Atty. David T. Bules. Albert will be sadly missed by the Zitnik family; Ruthie, Mary, Anna, Katie, Eddie and Andrew.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Josephine Rosso.
Funeral services will be held Thursday 12:00 PM at St. Patrick Church.
Family and friends may call on Thursday, one hour prior to the services from 11:00 to 12:00 PM at the church.
