YOUNGSTOWN Albert A. Drapcho, 85, died Tuesday morning, February 2, 2010, at St. Elizabeth Hospital Medical Center. He was born November 30, 1924, in Clarence, PA a son of Joseph and Mary Chismar Drapcho and moved to this area in 1942.
Albert was a pipe fitter for Republic Steel Corporation for 45 years before retiring in 1987. He was a member of St. Patrick Church, Hubbard.
During his lifetime he was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Albert enjoyed gardening, puzzles and bowling, having bowled in the Jednota League at Holiday Lanes in Struthers.
His wife, the former Frances Misic, whom he married May 30, 1950, died December 26, 1959.
He leaves four daughters, Jane (Donald) Snowberger of Hubbard, Celia (Stanley) Hindes of Pittsburgh; Maryellen (Thomas) Huckle of Pittsburgh and Betsy (Thomas) Coffey of Hubbard; a brother, Ambrose (Ann) Drapcho of Struthers; five grandchildren, Jennifer and Kristen Huckle, Ryan, Cory and Sean Coffey.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, William and Henry Drapcho; five sisters, Mary Malenic, Sarah Wagner, Justina �Jessie� Bezusko, Dorothy Venglarcik and Johanna George.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, 9:15 AM at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home and 10:00 AM at St. Patrick Church, Hubbard.
Family and friends may call on Friday 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
